Hello and welcome to the club. Got any pics of the pickup? Brings back some memories, as a kid I used to see a builder who lived local to us driving a P100. :)

Thinking of just buying a saph cossie and using that as a donor car least i got everything there then. Which way i don't know what's best yet duro tec or cossie lump but what's more reliable ??

Duratec is more reliable but Cossie lump has more power. Let the debating begin...

also depends on the cossie lump itself, knowing how most of them are treated nowadays, i.e ragged around a lot but most of them can be rebuilt easily not sure on price mind for that but when you know its been rebuilt to your specs that you want then you know how you can drive it. the duratec engines are great and reliable also lightweight but a lot more work to fit under the bonnet. if you can find a cossie donor then everything will be all good bar the engine unless you know it a good engine itself. plus you know that the whole look of a cossie on your p100 you must go for cossie engine too. or what I've seen is either v8's or v6's twin turbo'd monsters! now that would be awesome!

Personally I'd go Duratec and ITB it. Add a decent diff and it should be awesome!

Happy New Year to everybody had chance to get on here for ages thanks for the replies going to start on the body first till i decide on engine. Going for a Mk1 3dr cossie so some fresh info now think i know but just want to double check a couple of things

Things to change
  • Wings
  • Front panel
  • Bonnet
  • Headlights
  • Grill
Does the wings line up with the doors ok ? that part i am not sure of
Tracking down the front bumper and bonnet are going to be the hardest, the odd bumper comes up want a genuine one not copy not come across a bonnet though

Any idea's ???
