Hi, Firstly, I am a novice mechanic. My car started and then cut out and now will not start. I had Green flag out to it and he said that there was no fuel getting through. I have been told by an amateur mechanic that it is the fuel pump and that this is under the back seat of the car and to replace it I have to take the fuel tank from the car. According to my Haynes manual, if I am reading it correctly, on diesel cars it is only the fuel guage sender that is under the seat and the fuel pump is accessed by taking of the rear wheel. As there are expensive items involved I want to be sure I am buying the right replacement. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
