Should any FEC member ever need a stereo code then simply pop out your stereo and look on the right hand side for the serial number ,it will start with the letter M followed by 6 numbers ie; M123456,

Simply post that code up and myself or other members with that software will give you your 4 digit security code FOC.

Only criteria is you need to have at least 25 posts. or provide proof of ownership of car & stereo

how do i get the stereo out?

I have a '94 Escort, with Ford radio cassette - I need to input code, as battery has been disconnected.  However, I cannot get the stereo out to get to the serial number.  Any advice?  I must be doing something wrong.

without being able to remove the stereo its impossible to decode without going into ford with all your paperwork for the vehicle and then it must be the original stereo to the vehicle too or they will give the wrong code ,get yourself a pack of ford stereo removal tools for about £4 in halfords as you need the serial number

Today I went to where my car was bought originally in 1998, and the man came out, popped out the stereo, put it back, to his computer, and gave me the code. Didn't need any paperwork or any proof of ownership.
Maybe just a nice guy? :p

you have fooked it mate as it will cost more than the price of a 2nd hand stereo to unlock it now as only ford can do it
